All Inclusive Caribbean Cruises
The most glorious vacation I have ever spent was undoubtedly on one of the
all inclusive
Caribbean cruises that I took back in the nineties. Crystal clear ocean waters perfect for viewing the
fluorescent colors of tropical fish, endless buffets, the warm and sunny atmosphere, endless buffets, casinos,
endless buffets and getting your behind (practically) literally kissed by every staff member aboard; now that’s my
idea of a little slice of heaven. Did I mention the endless buffets?
So Many All Inclusive Caribbean Cruises, So Little Time
There is certainly no shortage of cruise lines from which to pick. Carnival, Princess,
Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Holland America Line are a few of the cruise lines from which to choose.
Packages for these cruises are as plentiful as the fish in the Caribbean Sea. Three or four day cruises, one
week or 10 days; a fancy room, a single home or sleeping with several others; all contribute to the
determining of the price.
There is never a shortage of things to do either on all inclusive Caribbean cruises. On board
activities run from nightly dances, midnight buffets and casino gambling to drinks with the captain. Once you
disembark at your scheduled ports of call, you can enjoy everything from shopping, snorkeling, more gambling
and barhopping to guided bus tours. One of my most favorite excursions when off the cruise ship was the glass
bottomed boat/rum cruise; complete with Calypso band and endless fruity rum drinks (extra shots of high proof
rum encouraged). I honestly can’t say I remember getting back on the ship but I do know I had fun! I did
after all, have pictures. Then there was the nude beach… NOT!
Something For Everyone
I can’t imagine anyone not having a good time on a Caribbean cruise. There’s just too much to
do and eat. The cruise lines will offer competitive rates and there are cruises that center on fun as well as
cruises centered on propriety. I like to have fun. You still get the royal treatment, you just have more fun
while you’re getting. There are adult cruises, family cruises, singles cruises, gay cruises, honeymoon
cruises; the list goes on and on. And trust me when I say, you will want for nothing. There are budget
cruises for the frugal minded and more expensive cruises for those wishing to avoid things like children and
others of life’s little annoyances. Seriously though, there are cruises as low as $400 to $500; it all
depends on your requirements.
You will never forget your first Caribbean cruise and if your pocket allowing, it will more
likely than not be the first of many. For the most part, the people you will encounter at your ports of call
are friendly and helpful. They fully realize that, above all else, tourism is what keeps them going. As I
mentioned earlier, the staff on your cruise ship will be falling over themselves trying to make sure that
your cruise is one that you will not only remember but recommend to all your friends. They will turn down
your bed for you, place your pajamas neatly on the edge of the bed and (I love this) don’t forget the mint on
the pillow!
