A Disney Cruise Vacation Is For The Whole Family
Think of Walt Disney and you think of theme
parks, Mickey Mouse and generally everything related to kids.
Perhaps now would be the time to be rid of that image and look
into a Disney cruise vacation.
Disney has a couple of cruise ships that were built with
families in mind. There's areas set up for toddlers, smaller
children, teenagers and adults. Everyone will be entertained
with Disney's famous world class entertainment. Worried about
what's happening with your kids while you're on a different
part of the ship? No problem. Disney provides pagers for
parents. Even honeymooning couples will love the trip.
The first two ships Disney launched were the Disney Magic in
1998 and the Disney Wonder in 1999. Both have well over 850
rooms and they are basically the same in both features and
designs. You can book your Disney cruise vacation for up to 7
nights and sail to different locations in the Caribbean.
Leaving from Florida's Port Canaveral, you'll stop at the
Disney owned island in the Bahamas called Castaway Cay. This is
an exclusive area set up for passengers as well as crew members
to get a little R & R. And if you don't want to miss out on
the Walt Disney World Resort experience, you can even include a
stay at the theme park in you package.
The actual ships will of course promote all your favorite
Disney characters and themes, but the design is much like the
famed luxury transatlantic lines of history. It's very
nostalgic. And the ship is much like a little city with
everything you could possible desire. There are many
restaurante, all with different themes including one for adults
only. Of course there's shopping, salons, spas, movie theaters
(with Disney movies naturally), pools and different places to
go for entertainment.
There's also play areas for the kids. The one on the Disney
Wonder is called the Oceaneer's Club. Designed with a Peter Pan
theme. It includes things like a climbing area, computers and
storytelling sessions. Aloft is an area set up for teens. Here
you'll find TV's, games, mp3's and more. What you'll find on a
Disney cruise vacation is all the latest technology combined
with a classic design.
The newest additions to Disney cruise vacations is a
Mediterranean cruise. The sights on this one should be amazing.
You launch from Barcelona, Spain, and stop in Palermo, Sicily
as well as Naples Italy, Marseilles France, and a couple of
spots in the Canary Islands including Gibraltar and Tenerife.
Look for more expansion on this hugely successful Disney
franchise in the future. And since Disney typically does
everything big, it won't be long before a Disney cruise
vacation is one of the most sought after cruise vacations
around.
